In the early stage of their life ...two young adults at the age of 20 have joined together in the altar of matrimony in a province Cathedral. But the couple had a long rocky road into their union. Failure of the husband to provide, the going was very tough for them.

In few years of stay with the wife’s parents was not a breeze. Misunderstanding between siblings, underrated the couple because of their inability to self-sustain, and many struggles that made the couple break their hearts. The wife had been crying at nights and confided with her husband about her heartaches and on how she had been ill-treated by her own siblings. Her brother asked her to leave from their parents premises while the father had been spreading tales among his friend on how he wish the couple would just go away. However, though, the mother was kind and supportive with the couple but could not do to stop the mistreatment her daughter was receiving.

Meanwhile, the husband was turned into a bitter and defensive person as he was not able to do enough to support his family despite hard work. That caused the husband went wild and folly. Madness and stupidity were hoarded in his heart.

After that humiliating incident, the couple with their one-year-old son, forced to seek refuge in another town. They rented a small space (not even a proper place that can be called a house) --- a bamboo shaded room with earth-floored that flooded when it rains. At night they slept closed together and shared an old sheet to protect them from cold. Their ordeals made been strong to withstand against difficulties where life-betterment was nowhere to be seen.

The husband took a daring move by sending the wife back to the city to complete her degree while he continued to operate a small food stall in the town to sustain their daily needs.

They again took another daring move. The husband and their son joined the wife in the city when the wife got a work to sustain the family.

Later, the husband was involved in politics and got a job in a province. The husband considered this a chance and sent his wife to take another degree after completing one. And they were able to send their son in an exclusive private school in the city.

Unfortunately, it was not a smooth sailing then; the husband was gunned down that made him left politics. The husband left no other option and joined the underground military movement and moved to the capital city for a secret operation with a good compensation --- the money his family badly needed.

Until the good timing and opportunity knocked on them, the couple with their son and now a daughter comfortably settle in a foreign country. Having good-paying jobs and comfortably staying in their own house, stability and comfort come to them, at last. Their son is successful in many ways, while the daughter is also doing very well academically.

The couple could now look back and smile but cannot help shed tears --- pain still persists! The couple is proud of their achievements and they still love those who were mean and ill-treated them during those times of their “nothingness”. Because God said; "forgive those who trespasses against you," ...for if you forgive them when they sin against you, your heavenly father will also forgive you. It added; "vengeance is only from heaven, i will punish and deliver them to evil one.

Consequently God punished three members of the family, one of them died in awesome vein. The brother was hit by a blitzkrieging cable that almost landed him to death while the father suffered a brain disorder due to a motorcycle accident. The father and son had faithfully returned to God, and the family house has return to Gods well, through the childrens of God in Seattle..

That’s the way God wake-up them all, even though at the time it may seem they neglect His call. A root of bitterness or hatred in our lives can produce enormous harm to our hearths and to our relationship with our friends, family, relatives, brothers and sisters.

They all know that in spite of everything the husband of their ill-treated sibling is still one of Gods created human being and perhaps a messenger to Him.

Lets forgive..

For centuries, Albanians clans were known for their bloody family feuds. They considered it cowardly not to avenge the suffering of one of their own. Sometimes retaliation would set off a chain reaction that left members of the family neutralized before it ended. In the Philippines ‘moro’ and ‘waraynon’ are almost the same bloody traditions.

But the changes came about because the people found something they desired more than revenge. They wanted to become a part of the wider community, and also to unite in defending themselves against common enemy, the poverty.

So too, the couple fight to end the miscarriage of their life and maltreatment among siblings will end when they found the way to end of their scarcity. Holding a grudge loses its appeal when the duo realizes they are cutting themselves off from the support and enjoyment they need from God.

Why pay high price by heightening your blood? We have too much more to gain by dropping our grudges and extending forgiveness. That’s much more better than revenges.

The Lord said; “vengeance is from heaven... do not avenge yourselves, ...for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, i will repay, ...what they did to you.” Roman 12.
